Stand up comedy in Bulgaria may be just 4-5 years old, but Bulgaria has its own comedy club – The Comedy Club Sofia.
10 comedians work in the club and lots of Balkan and European comedians visit the club on a monthly basis.
The Comedy Club Sofia is located in the heart of City Centre, just a minute walk from Houses of President.
It is accessible by Metro, Car, Bus or Taxi and is within walking distance from all major sightseeng sights in Sofia. You can find lots of first class hotels and great food in the neighbourhood.
The Comedy Club Sofia is one of the main members of Freedom of Speech movements in Bulgaria.
According to the club’s owner Ivan Kirkov “This is a place which will defend freedom of speech and Human Rights no matter what, at least until I am in charge around here.”
The Comedy Club Sofia is already changing and shaping the comedy scene in the region and adds to the Bulgarian Culture bringing Bulgarian humor up to date.
